His name is Sprout, like the vegetable, and he’s our much loved family dog, his breed is a Korthals Griffon, which looks something like a spaniel crossed with a goat. Sprout has an obsession with carrying things around in his mouth, including logs, and consequently our logo was born.

The Log Dog only delivers hardwood logs which are seasoned in our barns. The firewood is delivered loose on the back of our trucks to Banbury and surrounding areas, we are more than happy to stack your logs, price dependent on how close we can unload the logs to your store and the size of your order.

‘The Log Dog’ is a rebranding of ‘A.M. Logs’ established in 1956. Supplying fire wood to Banbury and the surrounding areas for over 20 years. Our family run business, rebranded in 2021 as “The Log Dog” strives to produce the highest quality hardwood firewood to maximise the performance of your woodburning stove or fire. All our firewood is sourced locally, logs are seasoned at our yard and then delivered across Banbury and the local area.
Logs are delivered loose on the back of our tipper trucks, a Nissan Cabstar. They are then tipped in a convenient place to suit you.

Out of the rain. We barn dry our logs out of the rain, we recommend to keep them dry they are stacked off the ground, in a well ventilated but covered area.
Yes. During processing of firewood small offcuts are produced which are great to be used as kindling. We bag it up and sell a rubble sack for only £5.
We deliver by the cubic metre. Our standard load being 2 cubic metres, but can do larger and smaller loads to suit. Our standard logs are cut to between 9-12″, but again this can tailored to your fire.
We are located a few miles north of Banbury. Our delivery area covers up to 20 miles from Banbury. Currently, we deliver throughout the Banbury area and nearby villages. Please contact us to confirm if you’re within our delivery range.
Just got our second load delivered ready for winter, I found these logs by far the most dry I have ever used which is so much better for the environment! Would recommend to anyone, Joe was very helpful.
